Question 1

Where do you post to?

Accepted Answer

Anywhere in the world. Postage is added at checkout based on your delivery address, so the price you see at the till is the price you pay, with nothing extra to add at the door.

Question 2

What does a season cost?

Accepted Answer

A season is £64 for six letters plus the welcome pack, the same for everyone in the world. Or you can pay monthly, £11.99 a month across six months (a total of £71.94, excluding postage), and cancel any time (before 20th). Paying for the season upfront saves you £7.94, which is around 11%. Postage is added on top by region

Question 3

Why does postage vary by country?

Accepted Answer

The letters themselves are the same price everywhere. Only the postage differs, because it genuinely costs more to send a letter from Co. Down to Sydney than to Belfast. You are not being charged more, you are simply covering the true cost of the journey.

Question 4

Do the letters come in a larger, clearer print?

Accepted Answer

They do, and at the same price. Every season comes in two editions. The clear-print edition is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute to be gentle on the eyes, in a larger size with generous spacing. It is made for anyone who reads in low light, tires easily, or simply prefers a clean, open page. You choose when you subscribe, and you can change your mind any time.

Question 5

Do you offer other languages?

Accepted Answer

For now, the letters are written in English. They are so rooted in the rhythm of Irish storytelling that translating them well would be a labour all of its own, so it is something I hope to come to in time, rather than today.

Question 6

Can I give it as a gift?

Accepted Answer

Gladly. A season makes a lovely six-month gift. Just enter their address as the delivery address when you subscribe, and it begins at letter one.

Question 7

What if I am away?

Accepted Answer

Letters keep. They will be waiting when you get home. And if I am ever away myself, I send ahead so nothing is late.

Question 8

Is everything made by hand?

Accepted Answer

The letters are. Each month's letters are written, folded and sealed in wax by my own hand. The keepsakes tucked inside, the maps, proclamations and diary pages, are printed to look like true found documents, aged and real, the way such things were always meant to look. A torn proclamation should feel discovered, not written out to you, and that is exactly how they are made.

Question 9

Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

On the monthly plan, yes, any time before your next payment, and no further payments will be taken. On the season plan, there is nothing to cancel, you have simply paid for the six letters and the welcome pack, and they will find their way to you.
