Letters from the Between
Last updated: 30 September 2026

Who we are

Letters from the Between is a small, one-person business run by Letters from the Between, from Co. Down, Northern Ireland. I make and post handcrafted fiction subscriptions. In this policy, "we" and "I" mean the same thing.

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please write to me at keeper@lettersfromthebetween.com.

What information I collect

I only collect the information I need to run this business and deliver your letters to you.

When you subscribe: your name, delivery address, email address, and payment details.

When you sign up for the newsletter: your email address and, if you provide it, your name.

When you send me a message: whatever you choose to share with me in your message, along with your name and email so I can reply.

When you visit the website: basic technical information like your browser type, device type, general location (country level), and how you moved around the site. This comes from cookies and Wix's built-in analytics. You can decline non-essential cookies using the banner that appears on your first visit.

Where your information goes

I use a small number of trusted services to run this business. Your information is only ever shared with these where necessary to serve you:

  • Wix hosts the website and processes orders. Their privacy policy is at wix.com/about/privacy.

  • Stripe processes payments securely. I never see your full card details. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

  • Flodesk sends the newsletter, if you've signed up for it. Their privacy policy is at flodesk.com/privacy.

  • Royal Mail and international postal services carry your letters. They see your name and delivery address, but nothing else about you.

I never sell your data to anyone. I never share it for advertising. If a service I use ever changes ownership or closes, I'll tell you before your information moves.

How long I keep your information

Subscriber data (name, address, order history): kept for as long as you're a subscriber, plus seven years after your last order for tax and accounting purposes, as UK law requires.

Newsletter data (email address only): kept until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe with a single click from any email.

Messages you send me: kept for as long as I need them to help you, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Ask what data I hold about you — I'll send you a copy within 30 days

  • Ask me to correct anything wrong

  • Ask me to delete your data — I can do this for anything except records I'm legally required to keep, like completed orders for tax purposes

  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time (just unsubscribe from any email, or write to me)

  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you're unhappy with how I've handled your data. They're at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these rights, write to me at keeper@lettersfromthebetween.com and I'll respond within 30 days, usually much faster.

Cookies

The website uses cookies to make it work properly. Some are essential (they remember what's in your basket and keep you logged in). Others are for analytics, so I can see roughly how many people are visiting and which pages they read. You can accept or decline the non-essential ones using the banner that appears on your first visit, or change your mind later in your browser settings.

Children

This service is for adults. If you're under 18, please don't sign up without a parent or guardian's permission.

Changes to this policy

If I ever change this policy, I'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email active subscribers to let them know. This is not a document I plan to change often.

Get in touch

If you have any questions, worries, or want to exercise any of your rights, write to me at keeper@lettersfromthebetween.com. I'll always reply personally.
